I recently had the opportunity to visit the Secretariat and unfortunately my experience was not exactly positive. The lady working there was extremely rude and seemed like she had trouble with High German. It was frustrating to see how she only seemed to want to hear Swiss German, even though her own German wasn't exactly perfect. I understand that in today's world it is important to respect the local culture and language. But as a visitor, I didn't feel comfortable as communication was made difficult. It seemed like I couldn't convey my concerns properly, which led to misunderstandings. I think it would be helpful if the secretariat ensured that the staff had a good command of both the local language and standard German. This would greatly improve communication with customers who may not be familiar with the local dialect. Despite this negative experience, I hope that the Secretariat will take steps to improve its customer service in the future. After all, friendliness and clear communication are crucial to making a positive impression and keeping customers happy.
